Meghan Kavanagh enters her fifth year at the University of Bridgeport in 2009-2010.  After joining the UB staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August of 2005, she was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Womam Admistrator in February of 2006.  Along with those duties, she also serves as Bridgeport's Student Athlete Advisory Committe director.

Entering her 12th year in the field of intercollegiate athletics, Kavanagh came to the University of Bridgeport from the University of New Haven where she served as Director of Sports Medicine.  She served as the Chargers' assistant trainer for two years before assuming the director's position.  Prior to her time at UNH, Meghan was a student athletic trainer at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.

Since joining UB Athletics, Kavanagh has assumed the responsibilities of the day-to-day operations of the department.  She also serves as the event manager for home contests, and still assists the Purple Knights athletic trainers as needed.

In the Spring of 2006, Meghan organized the fifth NYCAC (now ECC) Senior Women's Brunch, which was hosted on the Bridgeport campus.  Now an annual event, the 2006 event featured guest speaker, two-time Olympoic Gold Medallist, Dr. Dot Richardson.

Kavanagh was also responsible for the organzation of the Athletic Department's Eleventh Annual Golf Tournament held at Whitney Farms in April 2006, plus she has organized UB's Annual Athletic Awards Banquets.  In addition. she has been responsible for directing numerous SAAC events on campus.

Active in the East Coast Conference, Meghan currently serves as the ECC's sport chair for women's lacrosse.

The Long Beach, N.Y. native holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Movement and Sports Science/Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University (2001) and a Master's Degree in Management of Sports Industries from the University of New Haven (2003).

Kavanagh currently resides in Hamden, CT.
