Senior Peter Barrows Earns First Team Daktronics All-East Region Honors
Bridgeport, Conn.-University of Bridgeport senior right fielder Peter Barrows (Old Saybrook, Conn.) has been selected as a 2011 Daktronics Inc. First Team All-East Region Baseball performer in voting conducted among sports information directors at NCAA Division II institutions that are members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate, East Coast and Northeast 10 Conferences.
A First Team All-East Coast Conference performer this season, Barrows helped the Purple Knights to a berth in the ECC Baseball Championship Tournament Finals, as well posting a single season, school record overall mark of 31-14, as he led the team with a .353 batting average. Peter also led UB in hits (54), total bases (79), slugging percentage (.516), on-base percentage (.455), doubles (16) and stolen bases (21).
