Men's Soccer Plays To A 2-2 Tie With Post University

 Bridgeport, CT-The University of Bridgeport men's soccer team and the Post University Eagles battled to a 2-2 double overtime tie on Knights Field in a non-conference match played on Saturday night. With the tie, UB is now 3-1-2. Post is now 0-3-2.
 
Bridgeport senior Gilbert Bayonne (Amityville, NY) opened the scoring in the match at the 8:53 mark when he scored his fifth goal of the season off a feed from freshman Jonathan Aristizabel (Medellin, Colombia).
 
Post's Mike Semedo would scored his first of two goals on the night to tie things at 1-1 14:16 into the match, when he headed home a free kick from Andrew Nelson.
 
Senior LeRoux Lothian (Kingston, Jamaica) would give the Purple Knights a 2-1 lead two minutes into the second half when he scored off an assist from senior Habib Sylla. Lothian goal is his second of the 2009 season, and Sylla's assist is a team-high fifth of the year.
 
The Eagles would tie the score at 2-2 with just over eight minutes to play when Semedo would net his second goal of the match on a penalty kick.
 
Bridgeport returns to action on Wednesday afternoon at American International College in Springfield, MA. Match time is set for 5:00 p.m.
