Four Student-Athletes Earn Weekly East Coast Conference Honors

Central Islip, N.Y.-Four University of Bridgeport student-athletes have earned weekly recognition from the East Coast Conference in the first set of Player of the Week honors for the 2010 season released by the conference office on Tuesday, September 7

In volleyball, graduate student Agatha Baliddawa (Jinja, Uganda) was named Co-Player of the Week.

In men's soccer, two Purple Knights were recognized as sophomore Arnold Hitoaliaj (Tirana, Albania/Bridgeport Central HS) was named ECC Offensive Player of the Week, and freshman Markus Naglestad (Kristiansand, Norway) earned conference Rookie of the Week accolades.

In women's soccer, senior Linda Velaj (Stamford, Conn.) was named co-Offensive Player of the Week.
