Jonathan Aristizabal's Golden Goal Lifts UB Men's Soccer To Double OT Win Over UMass Lowell

Bridgeport, Conn.-Junior Jonathan Aristizabal (Medellin, Colombia) scored the game-winning goal with 2:01 to play in the second overtime off an assist from sophomore Danny Ruiz (Stamford, Conn.) to lift the University of Bridgeport men's soccer team to a 3-2 home non-conference win over the UMass Lowell Riverhawks on Saturday afternoon.  With the win, UB is now 2-1-0 on the season.  The Riverhawks are now 1-2-0.

Bridgeport opened a 2-0 led in the match on a first half goal by sophomore Christoffer Olesen (Randers, Denmark) at the 22:36 mark, and a second half tally by sophomore Markus Naglestad (Kristiansand, Norway) at 67:43.

UMass Lowell tied things up with scores late in regulation by Homero Morais (78:48) and Daniel Galvin (87:35).

The UB men's team will return to action on Thursday evening when they host Caldwell College at 6:00 p.m.
