Piotr Safronczyk Selected NCAA Division II Men's Swimmer of the Week By Collegeswimming.com

Somers, WI-University of Bridgeport junior swimmer Piotr Safronczyk (Bialystok, Poland) had three wins to help the Purple Knights a sixth place finish at the 2010 College Winter Invitational at Daytona State College last week.  His outstanding performance earned him NCAA Division II Men's Swimmier of the Week honors from Collegeswimming.com for the period from December 28-January 10.  He became the first NCAA men's qualifier in school history with his win in the 100 breaststroke (57.07, NCAA "A" time), the 200 breaststroke (2:09.00, NCAA "B" time) and the 200 individual medley (1:57.39).
