UB Cross Country Teams Picked To Finish 8th In ECC Standings
Team Scheduled T0 Open 2011 Season At C.W. Post On September 17th
Central Islip, N.Y.-Both the University of Bridgeport men's and women's cross country teams have been selected to finish eighth at the 2001 East Coast Conference Championship in a preseason vote of league coaches released late on Monday afternoon.
This year's UB women's team, under the direction of head coach Stephanie Del Preore, will be led by All-Conference performer Sarah Santos (Grad., Norwalk, Conn.), who finished eight at the 2010 ECC Championships.
This year's UB men's team, under the direction of head coach Mike Ruane, has a solid group of returning runners that will be looking to move the Purple Knights up the conference rankings.
Both teams open their 2011 season at the C.W. Post Invitational on Saturday, September 17. C.W. Post will also host this year's ECC Championship Meet on Sunday, October 23.
