Purple Knights Women's Lax Defeated At St. Thomas Aquinas
Sparkill, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team lost at St. Thomas Aquinas College on Saturday night, as the Lady Spartans topped the Purple Knights, 16-1. The loss keeps UB winless in its first varsity season, as the team is now 0-8 overall and 0-5 in East Coast Conference play. STAC is now 4-7 overall and 2-4 in the ECC.
Freshman Kathlena Rivera (Staten Island, N.Y.) netted the lone goal of the game for UB.
The Purple Knights will return to women's lacrosse action on Wednesday night as they travel to Molloy for an ECC tilt that brgins at 7:00 p.m.
