Women's Soccer To Host 2009 NCAA First & Second Round Matches

Bridgeport heads into this NCAA Tournament with a 16-1-3
overall record. On Sunday, the Purple Knights won the East
Coast Conference Women's Soccer Championship Tournament Final, as
they defeated Dowling College, 3-0.
Franklin Pierce enters the NCAA Tournament with a 16-4-1
overall mark. The Ravens, members of the Northeast 10
Conference, lost to the College of St. Rose by a 2-1 score in
Sunday's NE-10 Championship Tournament Finals.
Holy Family comes into NCAA play with a 13-8-1 overall
record. The Tigers received an automatic bid to the NCAA's by
winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship
Tournament on Saturday, as they defeated Georgian Court University,
1-0.
The other side of the East Region bracket will be hosted by
number one seed, the College of St. Rose. The Golden Knights
are 21-0-0 so far in 2009, and they will host, on Sunday, the
winner of Friday's match between number four seed UMass-Lowell
(12-5-2) and number five seed, Merrimack (13-5-3).
