Julia Hansson Named ECC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Central Islip, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport women's soccer goalkeeper Julia Hansson (So., Tockfors, Sweden) has been selected as the East Coast Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for the fifth straight week and for the sixth time so far this season for her outstanding play in matches from October 10 through 16, 2011.
Julia continued her top-notch play in net for the Purple Knights so far in 2011 as she notched her ninth clean sheet of the season making five saves in a 2-0 home win over Dowling on Saturday in UB's only action of the week. So far this year, Hansson has a minuscule 0.25 goals against average having allowed only three goals in 12 matches, and her saves percentage is .958.
