Noufissa Chbihi Performs Well On Day One Of African Open Swimming Championships
UB sophomore takes 8th in 400 IM and helps Moroccan team to national record in 800 Free Relay.

Casablanca, Morocco-University of Bridgeport sophomore Noufissa Chibihi got off to a fine start on day one of the Tenth African Open Swimming Championships representing her home country of Morocco, as she finished eighth in the championship final of the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:17.56, and she helped the Moroccan team finish fourth in the 800 Free Relay, just out of a medal by less than two seconds, with a national record time of 8:43.62.
On day two of the African Championships, Noufissa will swim the 200 Freestyle and the 50 Butterfly.
