Women's Swimming Remains Undefeated In Dual Meet Action With 98-93 Home Win Over C.W. Post

Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's swimming team remained undefeated in dual meet action during the 2010-11 season with a 98-93 win over the C.W. Post Pioneers in the team's final home meet of the season.

In individual events, freshman Sonia Arau (Barcelona, Spain) was double-winner taking first place in the 200-meter Individual Medley (2:24.30) and the 200-meter Freestyle (4:36.35).

Single event winners for the Purple Knights were freshman Karen Barboza (Chula Vista, Calif.) in the 800-meter Freestyle (9:51.50) and sophomore Anna Krasnowska (Kedzierzyn-Kozle, Poland) in the 200-meter Freestyle (2:11.13).

Both the UB men's and women's swimming teams are back in action at St. Peter's College next Saturday afternoon.
