Men's Swimming Ranked Number Eight In The Nation In First CSCAA Poll of 2011-12
UB Women Receiving Votes
Evanston, Ill.-The University of Bridgeport men's swimming team is ranked number eight in the nation in the first Division II College Swimming Coaches Association of America National Poll of the 2011-12 season. The UB women are not ranked in the national Top-25 but are receiving votes in the poll which is produced by a panel of coaches from the major conferences in Division II as well as a group of at-large representatives.
Both the Bridgeport men and women have opened the season with dual meet wins over Queens (N.Y.) College and Manhattan College.
In the this week's Avidasports Swim Rankings. the UB men are seventh in Division II, and the women check in at number 10.
The Purple Knights under the direction of head coach Brad Flood are back in action versus the College of St. Rose on Friday night in a meet that will take place at RPI in Troy N.Y.
