Knox enters season number 15 as the head coach of the UB women's gymnastics program in 2018-19 after leading the team to the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 USAG Collegiate National Titles plus a second place finish in three of the last four seasons. Knox's team also made an appearance in the 2013 NCAA Gymnastics Regional in Gainesville, Florida becoming only the second Division II program in history to make the NCAA's. Before his arrival at Bridgeport, he was assistant men’s gymnastics coach at Southern Connecticut State University. Prior to his stint at Southern, Knox was an assistant at Yale University for their women’s gymnastics program. In addition to coaching at the college level, Knox is also the Director and Head Coach at CATS Gymnastics in Cheshire, CT plus directs the program at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, Conn. He has helped pave the way for some 56 gymnasts to receive full scholarships at the collegiate level. Knox is also a former USA Women’s National Team Coach. He has also coached several National team members. He also trained Miss USA fitness champion, Minna Lessig, in 1997.
