UB Volleyball Stays Perfect In Conference Play And Ties Single Season School Record for Victories With Win Over Molloy

Bridgeport, CT-The University of Bridgeport volleyball remained undefeated in East Coast Conference play (9-0) and tied the school's single season record for victories set last season with 28, as the Purple Knights defeated the Molloy College Lady Lions in Hubbell Gym in four sets, 25-14, 22-25, 25-13, 25-17. Overall, UB is now 28-4 on the season. Molloy falls to 8-18 overall and 3-7 in conference play. Bridgeport has also now won 19 of its last 20 matches, and the team is currently on a five-match winning streak. The victory gives the Purple Knights a 12-1 home record this season.

Junior Ivana Kovacevic-Jurasin (Belgrade, Serbia) led the team in kills on Tuesday night with 12, and she also led the Purple Knights' defense with 11 digs.
 
Agatha Baliddawa (Grad., Jinja, Uganda) had an excellent match both on offense and defense slamming 11 kills with a .450 hitting percentage and adding seven blocks (two solos).
 
Setter Yael Cohen (Jr., Jerusalem, Israel) directed the team's offense with 33 assists, led UB with five service aces, had five digs and added two kills and a block assist.
 
Bridgeport returns to action on home on Thursday night, as they host Mercy College in an ECC match. Action gets underway in Hubbell Gym at 7:00 p.m.
