Eight Student-Athletes From UB Men's And Women's Soccer Named To Academic All-District Teams As Selected By College Sports Communicators
Group Will Now Move On To The National Academic All-America Ballot
Bridgeport, Conn.-Eight members of the University of Bridgeport men's and women's soccer programs have earned places on the 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (formally known as CoSIDA).
Selected to this season's Academic All-District® Men's Soccer team from UB are:
Clement Anet (Grad., Cosse le Vivien, France)-Analytics & System M.A. Program
Kevin Martinez (So, Edinburg, Tex.)-Business Administration major
Luis Trapp (So., Cologne, Germany)-Psychology major
Selected to this season's Academic All-District® Women's Soccer team from UB are:
Livia Busin (So., Zurich, Switzerland)-Biology major
Clara Karlsson (So., Örnsköldsvik, Sweden)-General Studies major
Angelina LoFranco (So., Greenacres, Fla.)-Nursing major
Olivia Pousette (So., Halmstad, Sweden)-Business Administration major
Vivien Ruettgers (Jr., Munich, Germany)-Computer Science major
The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated as a CSC Academic All-District® selection, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve (having seen action in at least half of his or her team's contests) with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, Second- and Third-Team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
