Four Purple Knights Selected To The 2023 Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team Selected By College Sports Communicators
Gymnast Joanna Chambers And Three Members Of The UB Women's Lacrosse Program Honored For Their Excellence In Competition And In The Classroom
Bridgeport, Conn.-Four Purple Knights have earned recognition on the 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (formally known as CoSIDA).
Selected to this season's Women's Academic All-District® At-Large Team from UB are:
Joanna Chambers (Sr., Georgetown, Tex.)-Gymnastics-Health Sciences major
Danielle Kreitler (Grad., Shelton, Conn.)-Lacrosse-Business Administration major
Megan Kreitler (Grad., Shelton, Conn.)-Lacrosse-Education major
Tereza Kreuzova (Sr., Prague, Czech Republic.)-Lacrosse-Psychology major
Sports included in the CSC Academic All-America® Division II Women's At-Large program include bowling, beach volleyball, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, and water polo.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated as a CSC Academic All-District® selection, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve (having seen action in at least half of his or her team's contests) with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, Second- and Third-Team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late June.
