Beatrix and Hernandez Selected as UB's Purple Knights of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following terrific efforts, both on the court and on the pitch, Paola Hernandez (volleyball) and Enzo Beatrix (men's soccer) have been selected as UB's Purple Knights of the Week, for the week ending Nov. 3.

Hernandez helped lead a Bridgeport team to a pair of three-set wins last week. The senior hit an efficient .355 across six sets while totaling a team-high 21 kills. Hernandez also chipped in 12 digs and five aces as UB defeated Caldwell and Chestnut Hill. The native of Puerto Rico continues to lead the CACC this season in kills per set (3.60).

Beatrix registered a goal and an assist during the Purple Knights' important win over Caldwell last week. The Frenchman is now tied for the team lead in both goals (6) and total points (15) this season. Beatrix has registered multiple points in five different games in 2024.

Both UB soccer teams wrap up their regular seasons this week with games at Post. The men face the Eagles on Wednesday while the women travel there on Thursday.
