Cisse and Frazier Awarded UB's Purple Knights of the Week (Dec. 30 - Jan. 5)

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following superb efforts on the court last week, Aliou Cisse and Zahkiyyah Frazier of the University of Bridgeport's basketball teams have been named UB's Purple Knights of the Week, for the week ending Jan. 5, 2025.

Cisse was outstanding for the Purple Knights during their 88-77 win at Chestnut Hill College on Saturday. The junior racked up 29 points on an incredibly efficient 12-of-15 from the field. He is now leading the CACC in scoring this season (21.8 ppg) while shooting over 55-percent from the floor. Cisse is also slotted third in the league in steals per game (2.2).

Frazier, meanwhile, posted averages of 12.5 points and 11.0 rebounds for Bridgeport last week. She was especially impressive on Saturday when she tallied her first career double-double of 13 points and 15 boards against Chestnut Hill. Frazier, over her last four games, is averaging 10.5 points and 10.25 boards. She also ranks second on the team in field-goal percentage this season (45.3%).
