Jessen and Prieditis Announced as UB's Purple Knights of the Week (Nov. 17-23)

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following excellent postseason performances last week, junior Hailey Jessen of the University of Bridgeport's volleyball squad and freshman Kristians Prieditis of the men's soccer team have been selected as UB's Purple Knights of the Week, for the week ending Nov. 23, 2025.

Jessen earned CACC Tournament MVP honors for the second time in her career after powering the Purple Knights to their second conference title in three years. The Colorado native averaged an impressive 5.3 kills and 3.1 digs per set across UB's three postseason victories. Jessen delivered a career-high 28 kills in the five-set championship win over Holy Family. She also wrapped up the tournament with a strong .295 hitting percentage.

Prieditis played a pivotal role in UB's 2–1 NCAA Tournament victory over Post last Friday, the program's first NCAA win since 1990. He assisted on the opening goal and later delivered the game-winner in the 71st minute. The performance capped a standout freshman campaign in which he was named the CACC Rookie of the Year. Prieditis also led the Purple Knights with eight goals this season.
