Prescott and Edokpayi Selected as UB's Purple Knights of the Week (Dec. 8-14)

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – After a trio of terrific performances on the hardwood last week, sophomore Savannah Prescott and graduate student Jason Edokpayi of the University of Bridgeport's basketball squads have been selected as UB's Purple Knights of the Week for the period ending Dec. 14, 2025.

Prescott powered UB to a CACC victory over Georgian Court last Saturday with a standout all-around performance. Playing all 40 minutes, Prescott poured in a game-high 19 points to lead the Purple Knights offensively. She also made her presence felt on the defensive end, finishing with a team-best three steals while adding two assists and a block. Prescott continues to lead UB in several statistical categories this season, including points (12.1) steals (2.6) and assists (2.3) per contest.

Edokpayi also put together a terrific week for UB, averaging 21.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game during a 1–1 stretch for the Purple Knights. He recorded double-digit rebounds in both contests and poured in a career-high 27 points to help lift UB past Georgian Court last Saturday. Edokpayi was highly efficient offensively, shooting 15-of-23 from the floor (65 percent) across the two games. His impact extended beyond scoring, as he also totaled three steals and a block in each contest.
