Kenney and Morales Picked as UB's Purple Knights of the Week (Feb. 2-8)

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Fresh off helping their teams to a pair of dual meet wins last week, senior Abby Kenney (gymnastics) and freshman Anthony Morales (men's wrestling) have been picked as University of Bridgeport's newest Purple Knights of the Week (Feb. 2 - Feb. 8).

Kenney turned in a standout performance on Saturday, winning two events to help the Purple Knights earn a win over West Chester. She captured the vault title with a 9.800 and tied for first on floor with a 9.875, matching her career-best score in the event. Kenney was part of a dominant floor lineup that combined for a season-high total of 49.100 in the victory.

Morales also helped the Purple Knights to a dual meet victory last week. Wrestling up a weight class at 157 lbs, the New Jersey native earned a pin (4:52) against Emmanuel's Lawrence Lanzilli during UB's road win over the Saints last Thursday night.
