Noack and Hodella Named UB's Purple Knights of the Week (March 30-April 5)
Payton Noack, Women's Lacrosse | Tyler Hodella, Baseball
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following standout efforts at Seaside Park and Knights Field last week, freshman Payton Noack (women's lacrosse) and senior Tyler Hodella (baseball) have been named UB's Purple Knights of the Week for the period ending April 5, 2026.
Noack did a little bit of everything during a 1-1 week for UB, highlighted by a team-high six goals in a win over AIC last Friday night. Across the two-game stretch, she piled up 13 draw controls while adding four caused turnovers. Noack continues to be one of the top offensive threats in the CACC, currently ranking fourth in the conference in goals per game this season.
Hodella delivered a dominant outing in a no-decision against Holy Family on Saturday, tossing seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out six. The right-hander boosted his team-best strikeout total to 26 on the season across 25.1 innings pitched. He has been especially sharp of late, surrendering just one earned run over his last 12 innings of work.
