Thibodeaux and Meister Picked as UB's Purple Knights of the Week (April 20-26)

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In honor of several exceptional efforts on the diamond last week, sophomore Paityn Thibodeaux (Softball) and graduate student Luke Meister (Baseball) have been picked as UB's Purple Knights of the Week for the period ending April 26, 2026.
Thibodeaux posted a dominant week at the plate, pacing the Purple Knights with a .636 average on seven hits during a 2-2 stretch. The California native racked up three doubles and a home run, drove in three runs and drew three walks to post a .714 on-base percentage.
Meister powered a red-hot UB offense that exploded for 66 runs over six games last week. The Illinois native hit .520 with 13 knocks, tallying 11 RBIs and five runs scored while adding two home runs, two doubles and a triple during the Purple Knights' 5-1 stretch. He notched at least one hit in all six contests, including four multi-hit efforts.
