Inclement Weather Plays Havoc With Spring Sports Schedules

Bridgeport, Conn.-Inclement weather has cause a series of changes to be made to the University of Bridgeport athletics schedule in the coming days and weeks.

Today's (Friday, April 12) home baseball game versus Queens (N.Y.) College has been rained out, as has the scheduled home softball games at DeLuca Field against Nyack College.

UB and Queens are scheduled to meet in baseball at Queens for a doubleheader tomorrow (Saturday, April 13) at 12 noon.  The same two teams will play in Bridgeport at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday (April 14) for a doubleheader to make up for today's wash out.

Yesterday's baseball game versus Wilmington (Del.) College that was postponed at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard will now be played on Monday, April 29 at 4:00 p.m.

The UB-Nyack softball games will now be played at Nyack on Monday, April 15.  Game time is 1:00 p.m.

Also, the Bridgeport women's lacrosse game versus Mercy that was stopped in the second half on Wednesday evening in the second half at Knights Field will be replayed in its entirety on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. at UB.  The Purple Knights' women's lacrosse squad will also make-up an early season postponement with Southern Connecticut State at SCSU on Monday, April 29.
