Uniondale, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team dropped both ends of an East Coast Conference doubleheader at Molloy College on Sunday afternoon, as the Purple Knights were blanked in game one, 2-0 and fell in the nightcap, 5-2. UB is now 3-19 overall and 0-4 in the ECC. Molloy an even 11-11 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
In the opener on Sunday, seniors Ben Torres (Hollywood, Fla.) and Isaiah Rivera (Newington, Conn.), each had two hits.
In game two, UB senior Jose Negron (New haven, Conn.) went 3-for-4 with a solo home run.
Up next, the UB baseball team will open a four-game weekend ECC series at LIU Post on Thursday afternoon.
