Baseball Falls Twice To  Southern New Hampshire
Manchester, N.H.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team traveled to Southern New Hampshire University in a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.  The Purple Knights fell in both games to SNHU, with a score of 11-1 in game one and 2-1 in game two.  UB is now 4-24 overall while SNHU moves to 16-10 overall.  
 
In game one, the Purple Knights were limited to only three hits. Senior Daren Grabowski (Berlin, Conn.) and teammates Isaiah Rivera (Newington, Conn.) senior and sophomore Alex Rauso (Trumbull, Conn.) each had a share in the three hits.  
 
In the nightcap, Bridgeport was on the board first with a run scored by junior Mark Hirschbeck (Trumbull, Conn.) in the top of the fifth inning.  SNHU came back to tie the score at the bottom of the fifth and was able to put one more run on the board in the bottom of the sixth.  Freshman Patrick Palmer (Ansonia, Conn.) had the lone RBI while freshman Vincent DeRubeis (Trumbull, Conn.) had two of the four hits on the night. 
 
Up next, the UB baseball team will be traveling to Aldephi on Tuesday afternoon for another non-conference match-up.
