West Babylon, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport freshman pitcher John Ruggiero (East Haven, Conn.) has been selected as this week's East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for his outstanding play in games that took place from March 14 through 20, 2022.
Ruggiero earned his first collegiate win on Friday afternoon, as he blanked Jefferson over six innings allowing only three hits with five strikeouts and just two walks.
