BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In recognition of a marvelous senior campaign at first base, Jeremy Rodrigues of the University of Bridgeport's baseball team has been named to the CACC's 2025 All-Conference Second Team. It is the first All-Conference nod of Rodrigues' superb career.
Rodrigues recently capped off a sensational UB career that featured a terrific final season with the Purple Knights. While starting all 49 games, the team captain led Bridgeport in almost every offensive category. He registered team highs in batting average (.359), slugging (.629) and on-base percentage (.453) while also registering a squad best 42 RBIs. Additionally, he scored 49 runs and stole 23 bases—both of which ranked No. 1 on UB.
Rodrigues once again matched Bridgeport's single-season record in home runs with 10, which ranked third in the CACC. He also hit 10 home runs last year. Rodrigues wraps up his career with the most long balls in program history at 26 while also possessing UB's record for career RBIs at 118.
A significant moment in Rodrigues' standout campaign came when he hit for the cycle and recorded eight RBIs in a win over Georgian Court on April 4. That performance was part of a 20-game April that saw Rodrigues hit .435 and slug .826 with 31 RBIs and 10 walks.
