Three from Baseball Earn 2026 CACC All-Academic Team Honors

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - In recognition of high achievements in the classroom and on the diamond, a trio of University of Bridgeport baseball players have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's 2026 All-Academic Team. UB's honorees are part of 51 total baseball student-athletes celebrated by the CACC on Wednesday.

2026 Bridgeport Baseball CACC All-Academic Team Selections:

Anthony Matturro – Senior | Mechanical Engineering | 3.65 GPA

Tyler Pennisi – Junior | Business Administration | 3.60 GPA

Alex Bulger – Sophomore | Sports Management | 3.95 GPA

CACC All-Academic Team CRITERIA:

*Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically
*Student-athlete must be in their second year at current institution
*Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale)
*A first-year graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student
*A second-year graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) just in their graduate studies program
*Competed in at least 2/3s (67%) of team's game or started in at least ½ (50%) of a team's games
