Bio
Ali Dika was named the inaugural head coach for the Purple Knights' new esports program on Feb. 15, 2022.
A 2021 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Dika was a member of the University of Connecticut Gaming Club. He has competitor experience on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Overwatch and Fortnite. Dika also served in leadership roles during his time on the Club, including as president of its Counter-Strike Division from 2017-2021 and technical director from 2017-2018. Under his tenure as leader of the Counter-Strike division, the team became one of the top 16 in the U.S.
Dika currently also serves as the North American eSports manager for eSports Entertainment Group, an organization that works towards pushing Esports into the mainstream by providing a variety of opportunities for gamers. Prior to Esports Entertainment Group, Dika served as president and director of business relations for the North American Competitive Collegiate Series (NACCS), one of the largest collegiate eSports leagues, founded in 2019.
