Senior JoJo Swift Nets 30 Points But UB Men Fall At USciences, 67-60, In Non-Confernce Basketball Action

Philadelphia, Pa.– The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team lost a non-conference matchup to the University of the Sciences, 67-60, on Saturday afternoon. The loss was the Purple Knights' second in a row and drops their record to 2-3 overall. With the win, U Sciences jump to 2-2 on the year.

Senior guard JoJo Swift (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was a bright spot for Bridgeport in the game as he accounted for half of the team's points by dropping 30 on 10-of-17 shooting, and connecting on five of 20 three point attempts. Swift also added four assists and five steals on the day.

Swift's classmate Ognjen Zoric (Subotica, Serbia) added eight points off the bench. Junior center Sean Berry (Irvington, N.J.) led the Purple Knights in rebounds with eight, also adding six points.

Garrett Kerr led the Devils with 25 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

Bridgeport will open up its East Coast Conference schedule next Saturday, November 30, as they travel to Oakdale, N.Y. to take on the Golden Lions of Dowling College. Tip off set for 3:00 pm.
