Ernest Rouse Named Co-ECC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week
Averaged 20.5 Points And 5.0 Rebounds In Two UB Wins Last Week
Central Islip, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport junior Ernest Rouse (Freeport, N.Y.) has been selected as Co-East Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week with Tyrel Dixon of Roberts Wesleyan for his outstanding play in games from December 1 through December 7, 2014.
Rouse helped UB go a perfect 2-0 last week by averaging 20.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in a home win over LIU Post and a road triumph over St. Thomas Aquinas. In last Wednesday's win over LIU Post, Ernest netted a career-best 28 points connecting on 11-of-15 field goals. In last Saturday's win at STAC, Rouse scored 13 points. On the week, he hit 16-of-26 total field goals (61.5%) and 7-of-12 three-point shots (58.3%).
Ernest and his UB teammates will be back in action this Saturday, December 13 when they host Mercy College in an East Coast Conference contest that will begin at 3:00 p.m.
