Bridgeport, Conn.-After posting a 24-7 overall record and winning its third consecutive East Coast Conference title plus making the team's third straight NCAA Championship Tournament appearance, the University of Bridgeport men's basketball team has been tabbed number 24 in the nation in the Division II Bulletin's 2015-16 NCAA Men's Preseason Poll.

The Purple Knights, under the direction of head coach Mike Ruane, who is entering his 16th year on the UB bench, will open their regular season at home on Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. when they host Southern New Hampshire University as part of the UB ECC-Northeast 10 Challenge Classic.
