Purple Knights Move Into D2SIDA Men's Basketball National Top 25

Bridgeport, Conn.-After moving to the number one spot in the East Region yesterday, the University of Bridgeport men's basketball team has made its season debut in the D2SIDA Top 25 National Men's Basketball Poll at number 19.

The Purple Knights raised their season record to 8-1 last week with wins over LIU Post and NYIT.

Fellow East Coast Conference member St. Thomas Aquinas joins UN in the Top 25 checking in at number 25.

UB is also receiving votes on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Top 25.

This week, head coach Mike Ruane and his team host a pair of East Coast Conference games taking on Roberts Wesleyan College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Daemen College at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
