Franklin of Men's Basketball Named CSC Academic All-District
Appeared in 31 games for the CACC champions; Owns a 3.77 GPA as an MBA student.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In recognition of superb work in the classroom and on the hardwood, Gabe Franklin of the University of Bridgeport's men's basketball team has been named to the College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Franklin, who currently holds a 3.77 GPA as an MBA student, appeared in 31 contests off the bench this past season. He served a key role for a Purple Knights' team that won the 2025 CACC Championship and appeared in the program's first NCAA Tournament since 2018.
Amongst his 31 game appearances, Franklin scored a season-high 10 points against Saint Anselm and registered four rebounds, two assists and a steal versus Franklin Pierce.
