James Napoli of Men's Lacrosse Selected as CACC Player of the Week
Racked up a team-high eight goals and four assists during UB's 2-0 stretch last week.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – After helping the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team to a pair of wins last week, senior James Napoli has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week. He wins the award for the second time in his sensational UB career.
Napoli turned in a dominant stretch to lead the Purple Knights to a perfect 2-0 record, piling up a team-high 12 points on eight goals and four assists. The Long Island native delivered in the clutch against No. 19 Bentley, scoring twice in the final 1:38 of regulation to force overtime in a thrilling victory. Napoli carried that momentum into Saturday night's matchup with Felician, erupting for a season-best nine points in a decisive conference win.
Napoli and the rest of UB's men's lacrosse team will return to action on Wednesday at AIC (4 p.m.).
