UB Men's Soccer Team Set To Open 2014 Campaign On Saturday, September 6 At Franklin Pierce
2014 Home Opener Scheduled For Thursday, September 11 Versus Bloomfield
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Brian Quinn who is entering his fifteenth year on the Purple Knights' sidelines, will open its 2014 season on Saturday evening, September 6 when the squad travels to regional-power Franklin Pierce University for a 7:00 p.m. contest. UB will open its home schedule on Thursday, September 11, when the Purple Knights host the Deacons of Bloomfield College at 7:00 p.m. as part of the 2014 UB Soccer Classic.
Bridgeport will play seven home matches and eight tilts on the road during the 2014 campaign.
UB opens 2014 East Coast Conference play at home against Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday September 19 at 3:00 p.m.
The Purple Knights went 9-7-0 overall and 7-3-0 in East Coast Conference action in 2013. Last season, the team also made its eleventh consecutive conference tournament appearance.
