BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In the first of two home games in a four-day span, the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 contest to Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday. The loss shifts the Purple Knights' record to 2-2-2 this season (1-1, CACC).
Coming off a total of seven goals in the two games prior, Bridgeport was unable to find the back of the net on Saturday.
Goldey-Beacom notched both of its goals in the second half. After nearly an hour of scoreless action, the Lightning tallied their first goal in the 60th minute.
Goldey-Beacom added an insurance goal in the 85th minute.
Bridgeport was only able to put three shots on goal while finishing with an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
