XC Teams Race At NJIT Highlander Invitational
Men Take 25th And Women Finish 28th Among NCAA Division II And II Squads
Newark, N.J.-The University of Bridgeport men's and women's cross country teams competed in the NJIT Highlander Invitational on Saturday morning in the Garden State, and the UB men took 25th place in the NCAA Division II and III 8K race; while the Bridgeport women finished 28th in their NCAA Division II and III 5K competition.
On the men's side, senior D'vonne Trumbo (Pilesgrove, N.J.) was the Purple Knights' top finisher covering the course in a time of 31:27.00 for 90th scoring position.
For the UB women, junior Andrea Terranova (Haverhill, Mass.) was the first UB runner across the finish line on Saturday in a time of 24:06.00 which put her in 110th scoring place.
Up next, the Bridgeport cross country teams will compete in next Saturday's Western New England College Invitational.
