Middleton of Men's Cross Country Selected as CACC's Co-Runner of the Week
Broke UB's 8K program record, Finished first among non-DI competitors at the LIU Fall Festival.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a sensational debut for the Purple Knights, Toby Middleton of the University of Bridgeport's men's cross country team was selected as the CACC's Co-Runner of the Week on Monday.
Middleton's recognition comes after delivering a standout performance at the LIU Fall Festival on Saturday, finishing eighth overall and first among all non-DI competitors. Additionally, the senior etched his name into Bridgeport history by breaking the program's 8K record with a time of 21:21.5. UB's old school record was held by Brian Bor who clocked a 21:26.7 in 2009.
Middleton and the rest of the University of Bridgeport's cross country programs will return to action on Saturday at Vassar's Ron Stonitsch Invitational.
