Toby Middleton Earns Second CACC Runner of the Week Award
Finished fifth out of 125 runners while breaking his own 8K school record.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a superb race at the Hopkinton XC Festival last Friday, senior Toby Middleton of the University of Bridgeport's men's cross country team earned his second CACC Runner of the Week award on Monday. He was also named the conference's top performer on Sept. 8 after UB's season-opening meet.
Middleton continued his outstanding fall with another record-breaking performance at the Hopkinton XC Festival. Facing a field of 125 runners, the UK native placed fifth overall and was the second collegiate finisher. He posted a time of 25:36.46 which shattered his own 8K school record and ranks 11th in the east region currently. Middleton has now finished in the top-8 in each of his two completed races this season.
