Softball Team Picked To Finish Seventh In 2011 ECC Race

Central Islip, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport softball team has been predicated to finish seventh in this year's East Coast Conference race. The Dowling College Golden Lions are the pick of the ECC coaches to win the 2011 league title, as they edged Molloy College, who reached the Division II Final Eight last season by winning the East Regional crown, by one point in the preseason poll.
The UB softball team, under the direction of second-year head coach Dawn Stearns, open its 2011 season in Florida on Sunday, March 13th against St. Thomas Aquinas College.
