Softball Drops A Pair To Mercy

Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport softball team dropped and East Coast Conference doubleheader at Mercy College on Tuesday afternoon, as the Purple Knights lost game one, 7-3, and fell in game two, 10-4.  UB is now 7-29 overall and 2-20 in ECC play.

Junior Emma Wojick (Warsaw, Poland) had two hits and one RBI in both games of the twin bill, and sophomore Taylor McBeth (Langley, B.C., Canada) had a pait of base hits in game two after recording one in the opener.

The Purple Knights are next scheuled to be back in action at home on Thursday afternoon (April 28th) when they haost NYIT in a a make-up doubleheader.  Action gets underway in Seaside Park at 3:00 p.m.
