Two Purple Knights Earn 2016 All-ECC Softball Honors

Central Islip, N.Y.-Two members of the University of Bridgeport softball team have been selected as member of the 2016 All-East Coast Conference Teams in a vote of league coaches that was released on Thursday at this season's ECC Softball Championship Tournament being hosted at NYIT.

Senior, outfielder Kaila Crandall (Little Rock, Calif.) earned First Team All-East Coast Conference honors, and freshman, outfielder Jenna DiLorenzo (Woodbridge, Conn.) was named Second Team All-ECC.  Both players helped the University of Bridgeport softball program to its first appearance in the East Coast Conference Softball Championship Tournament since 2008 this year.

Entering this weekend's ECC Championship, Crandall was batting .298 with two home runs and 13 runs batted in.  She leads UB in hits with 48, in triples with four and stolen bases with six so far in 2016.

DiLorenzo is hitting .299 with two home runs and 16 run batted in so far during her first season in the Park City.
