Freshman Kaira Ramon Earns East Coast Conference Softball Rookie Of The Week Honors

West Babylon, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport freshman outfielder Kaira Ramon (Stamford, Conn.) has been selected as this week's East Coast Conference Softball Rookie of the Week.
Ramon continued to be a key cog in the UB offense, as she went 4-for-6 (.667 batting average) in doubleheader sweep over AIC on Sunday, as she had a pair of hits in each game. Kaira also scored two runs and had one RBI on the day, as she slugged .833 and had an on-base percentage of .571. So far this season, she leads the Purple Knights in batting average at .438.
