Softball's Burawski Tabbed CACC Co-Pitcher of the Week
Posted 1.48 ERA in 23.2 innings with 33 strikeouts.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a dominant stretch in the circle last week, Kaite Burawski of the University of Bridgeport's softball team has been selected as the CACC's Co-Pitcher of the Week. Remarkably, this is Burawski's 12th career conference weekly award. She was named the CACC Pitcher of the Week twice last season.
Burawski put together four stellar outings as UB began its season with six games in Florida. The left-hander finished the stretch with a 1.48 ERA across 23.2 innings pitched. She also averaged more than a strikeout per frame, logging a total of 33 punch outs.
Burawski capped off the weekend with near perfection. The Delaware native tossed an 11-strikeout, five-inning no-hitter in a win over Walsh. She allowed just one base runner and rattled off a stretch of seven straight Ks at one point.
UB's softball team will continue its spring break trip to Florida tomorrow with games against Assumption (10 a.m.) and Davis & Elkins (12:15 p.m.).
