TITUSVILLE, Fla. – On Day Two of their spring break trip to Florida, the University of Bridgeport's softball team dropped contests to St. Cloud State (4-0) and Davenport University (9-4) on Saturday.
UB's four hits on the day all came against Davenport in the second game of the day. Genna D'Amato, Mya Jones, Nathalie Mongrain and Lacie Grenier all notched singles.
Grenier's base hit yielded UB's fourth run in the fifth inning, bringing Georgia Burr home from third.
D'Amato and Grenier also earned walks in the game.
In the circle, Samantha Ledger and Tanya Sanchez both pitched well in relief. Ledger allowed two earned runs across four innings against St. Cloud State while Sanchez posted an identical stat line versus Davenport.
