Softball Puts Five on 2026 CACC All-Academic Team

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Five University of Bridgeport softball players have earned spots on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's 2026 All-Academic Team following exceptional performances both academically and on the diamond this past spring.
UB's honorees are part of 53 total softball student-athletes celebrated by the CACC on Wednesday.
2026 Bridgeport Softball CACC All-Academic Team Selections:
Isabella Benjamin – Graduate Student | Human Nutrition | 3.70 GPA
Samantha Ledger – Junior | Business Administration | 4.00 GPA
McKenzie Morgan – Junior | Criminal Justice and Human Security | 3.89 GPA
Paityn Thibodeaux – Sophomore | Health Sciences | 3.60 GPA
Lacie Grenier – Sophomore | Health Sciences | 3.94 GPA
CACC All-Academic Team CRITERIA:
*Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically
*Student-athlete must be in their second year at current institution
*Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale)
*A first-year graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student
*A second-year graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) just in their graduate studies program
*Competed in at least 2/3s (67%) of team's game or started in at least ½ (50%) of a team's games
