Orangeburg, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team completed a weekend sweep at 2017 Regina Rivera Classic hosted by Dominican (N.Y.) College on Sunday afternoon with a 77-63 victory of the Golden Falcons of Felician University. With the win, UB is now 3-2 on the season. Felician suffers its first loss of 2017-18, as the Golden Falcons are now 2-1 overall.
Senior Sofia Ermeidou (Athens, Greece) led Bridgeport in scoring with 22 points on the day, as she connected on 5-of-11 three-point shots.
Ermeidou was joined in double figures by sophomore Kadijah Dickson (Queens, N.Y.) with 13 points and junior Samnell Vonleh (Swampscott, Mass.) with 11 points. Vonleh also grabbed eight rebounds for the winners.
Senior Morgen Caution (Baltimore, Md.) finished just shy of a double-double as she has a game-high 12 rebounds and nine points.
Up next, the UB women's basketball team travel to Waltham, Massachusetts to face Bentley University on Sunday, November 26. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
